Central to the life of a Lay Carmelite is participation in community. Our province has communities worldwide.
The Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites (OCDS) are faithful members of the Roman Catholic Church, called to live in allegiance to Jesus Christ through a friendship with the One we know loves us.
The Carmelites of the Province of the Most Pure Heart of Mary, in allegiance to Jesus Christ, live in a prophetic and contemplative stance of prayer, common life, and service. Inspired by Elijah and Mary and informed by the Carmelite Rule, we give witness to an eight-hundred-year-old tradition of spiritual transformation in the United States, Canada, Peru, Mexico, El Salvador, and Honduras.
CarmelCast is a podcast produced by ICS Publications. Hosted by the Discalced Carmelite Friars, the purpose is simply to talk about the spiritual life from a Carmelite perspective — something that the friars already do in the monastery daily.
Causes in all phases: Servants of God, Venerables, Blesseds, and Saints.

The effect of devotion to the Flame of Love is to make our parishes, families, and lives so full of Jesus by the power of grace, that Satan’s influence on our families and surrounding communities is broken. Once freed from the blinding influence of Satan, our families and communities are much more open the gospel and the way of salvation. Our Lord told Elizabeth Kindelmann, “My flame will go forth from Carmel because they are the ones most called to honor me”.
“The One” is our commitment to focus every aspect of the Church on bringing individuals closer to God. We achieve this goal by creating opportunities for encountering our Lord Jesus Christ and fostering communities that accompany and support each other on their faith journeys. “The One” is our preamble for an enduring Eucharistic Renewal, and is centered on encounter and accompaniment, and experiencing the truth, beauty and goodness of our faith. A deep relationship with the person of Jesus Christ begins with an encounter – an experience of God that moves us, inspires us, challenges us, and improves us. We then accompany each other on our faith journey, in which we witness Truth (our absolute faith in God) Beauty (the engagement of heart in the faith) and Goodness (works of mercy).

Through encountering our Lord Jesus Christ, and by embracing the truth, beauty, and goodness of our faith, we will, together, fall in love with God in the ultimate encounter with Christ- the Holy Eucharistic and Sunday Mass.
